This is the best Glaze/BBQ sauce ever

Put this on Baby Back Ribs just before they are done and then have some sauce in a small bowl to dip the ribs in, Yummy!!!!!

Or do as I will do today, baste some on chicken files about 5 minutes before they are done on the grill. Just be careful with the heat. This glaze contain a lot of sugar so it will easily burn. Use medium to low heat the last few minutes.

TGI Fridays Jack Daniels Grill Glaze

Ingredients
1 Head garlic
1 cup Pineapple juice
1/4 cup Kikkoman teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1 1/3 cup Dark brown sugar
3 tbsp Lemon juice
3 tbsp Minced white onion
1 tbsp Jack Daniels whiskey
1 tbsp Crushed pineapple
2/3 cup Water
1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
1 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions
1. Cut about 1/2-inch off of top of garlic. Cut the roots so that the garlic will sit flat. Remove the papery skin from the garlic, but leave enough so that the cloves stay together. Put garlic into a small casserole dish or baking pan, drizzle olive oil over it, and cover with a lid or foil. Bake in a preheated 325? oven for 1 hour. Remove garlic and let it cool until you can handle it.

2. Combine water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium/high heat. Stir occasionally until mixture boils then reduce heat until mixture is just simmering.

3. Add remaining ingredients to pan and stir. Squeeze the sides of the head of garlic until the pasty roasted garlic is squeezed out. Measure 2 teaspoons into the saucepan and whisk to combine.

4. Let mixture simmer for 35-45 minutes or until sauce has reduced by about 1/2 and is thick and syrupy. Make sure it doesn't boil over.

Time to go home

It has been a long trip with many miles on the road. We have driven
about 1400 miles or 2250 km so it will be nice to go back home and not
have to spend all that time in the truck. I must say that the drive
have been very comfortable the Toyota Tundra is a nice vehicle and
towing the heavy trailer has been very easy. The fuel consumption
however has been quit high, I put in gas three times yesterday and the
average consumption has been 10.0 miles/gallon or 23,3 liters per 100
km so it is not a truck I would reccomend to have in Sweden. However
if I do some calculations between the Swedish gas prices and US gas
prices I found that the cost of gas to drive 100 km is the same for
our Passat in Sweden as the Tundra is here.

We are experiencing a delay here at Minneapolis airport of about an
hour. I'm tired of airports and delays. After this I wount fly again
until the beginning of March when I go to Stockholm for a week. Anyhow
it has been two hectic weeks but we have made progress which is
important.

Well I'm signing of for a while. Keep checking the blog for updates.

Leaving Ohio in the morning

We stopped for the night in Van Wert in western Ohio and we'll
continue in to Indiana tomorrow morning. Today we had a very thurough
inspection of the VMS by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. They only
had a couple of concerns about the VMS but as a whole they where very
pleased that we showed them the unit. Several of them said that they
really enjoyed and appriciated the oppertunity to review our machine.
They had been out to review our competitor but they did not have any
help from them and no one was present during their inspection so they
didn't know what to look for. We had our machine set up right on their
campus and we had all the papers printed out for them so we came well
prepared. Yesterday we had some presentations about our company and
the basics of the VMS so we had all day today to go into the details
of our machine.

As the heading says we are soon leaving Ohio and driving into Indiana,
however we will spend one more night here in Ohio and we found a very
nice Hiday Inn Express with a decent rate of $84 per night. As you see
in the pictures the hotel is very new and the interior is very nice,
the rooms has flat screen TV's which is nice. Unfortunately the time
you spend in the rooms are very limited so there is not much time to
watch any TV. I'm also reading a book at the moment that is very good
(Terminal Freeze by Lincoln Child) so I think that I will get myself
ready for bed and read a while before falling to sleep.

Looks like it will be a full flight.

Why would anyone fly to Detroit at 9:45 on a Sunday morning???

A too familiar sight I'm afraid

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

Time to fly again

Just after nine in the morning and here I am sitting at the gate
waiting to go onboard the flight to Detroit. Once in Detroit I'll take
the next flight to Lansing. It's a very short flight that only take
25-30 minutes including taxing on the ground. I hope to be in Lansing
at two this afternoon and that we can pack up the VMS and leave no
later than three, that way I'll have a chance to get to the hotel and
still see the last half of the semifinal in NFL between Minnesota
Vikings and New Orleans Saints. I think that the game will be a very
good. It's two very good teams that are meeting so it should be close
I think that the final score will be 27 for the Vikings and 24 for the
Saints.

The weather here in KC today is sunny but a little chilli. Last Sunday
Sandra said that we had over 20 degrees in the afternoon so she
enjoyed her coffe outside on the steps.

Well boarding has started so I better send this and get ready.

Leving Lansing for the weekend

It's time to fly home for the weekend and see the family. Will be back
here on Sunday afternoon and drive down to Columbia, Ohio.

The week has went fine, on Tuesday we set up the VMS and Derek came
over to help us out. We worked unil midnight that day and we sti had
some error messages that we needed to sort out on Wednesday morning
before the inspectors came out. The inspection went pretty good, it
took about six hours and they only had a couple of small concerns.
Nothing to serious and I think we will be able to sort those out.
Yesterday we had around 5 potential customer coming to the dealership
looking at the machine and Russ and I gave them as much information as
we could. This morning we have been strapping the VMS to the trailer
again. However we didn't manage to finish the packing so we will have
to do that on Sunday.

When I get back home we'll go to Red Lobster for dinner. Well I'll
continue the updating on Sunday, have a nice weekend.

Now this is a gas milage to be pround of

20,5 liters per 100km that is almost 3 times more than my Passat.
Lucky I'm not driving this truck in Sweden.

22:30

And we are still trying to get everything connected correctly. We have
vacuum, power and air but there are still some things that need to be
sorted out before we are done. I guess we wound have any dinner
tonight. Something with the bus connection according to Russ. Well
we'll continue to work and hopefully we'll be ready soon.

Dinner at Outback

And this is a engine (5.7 liter V8)

Now this is a truck

And this is Cameron

Getting the bottle

This is Cole

Taking a nap

Landed in Madison

I'll take some pictures of the twins later today and upload them here

Landing at Minneapolis

Downtown Minneapolis

Suburbs of Minneapolis

About 30 minutes from Minneapolis

A lot of snow on the ground. Very beautiful. Once we land I have about
an hour until the next flight leaves for Madison. Steve and Betty will
pick me up at the airport and take me across town to the car
dealership where I'm picking up a Tundra Truck with a class III
trailer hitch. We need a big vehicle to be able to pull the trailer
with robot on. I would expect the whole thing (robot, trailer vacuum
pump etc.) will weight close too 2000 kg.

Bye Dad, have a safe flight

Please fasten your seat belts

Time to fly to Madison via Minneapolis

Foggy at the airport today
